The OLT Youth Group presents OLIVER!

By Posted in - On Stage Now on April 29th, 2015 0 Comments

Nothing says spring like pre-Victorian London, pickpockets, and small dogs. So why not celebrate the arrival of spring in style by attending the OLT Youth Group Production of OLIVER!?

OLIVER! the musical, was the first production based on a Charles Dickens novel to become a Broadway hit.
Set in the early 19th century of London, England, just before the Victorian era, it features much loved songs such as “Food, Glorious Food”, “Where is Love” and “Consider Yourself”, and paints a rather more romanticised version of the Dickens novel, making it suitable for audiences of any age.

Orphaned Oliver Twist runs away from mistreatment in a London workhouse under the heartless Mr. Bumble, only to fall in with a gang of pickpockets led by the roguish Fagin, the kindhearted Nancy, and the menacing Bill Sykes, before finally finding his true home and family, in Lionel Bart’s musical adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel.

Performances dates are:
